Perfection is all that comes to mind when I think of this day.
Literally everything was amazing! Hannah was one of the most gorgeous bride’s I’ve ever laid eyes on and her ladies made up such a beautiful bridal party. Brian and his groomsmen were just as dapper-looking, and I loved the fact that these two incorporated so much of their family members into the wedding party (all of the groomsmen consisted of brothers – both of Hannah’s and both of Brian’s!).
We started off the day at Hannah’s parent’s house (and childhood home) in Grand Isle. After grabbing some portraits around their charming yard, we headed to the ceremony which was held at Saint Anne’s Shrine in Isle La Motte. This was a very unique venue that was exposed to the outdoors, with the guest seating covered by a roof, and nestled in right next to the lake.
The reception was at yet another unique and insanely gorgeous venue in Grand Isle – The Ferry Watch Inn. This intimate family-owned B&B is actually a historical VT farmhouse which sits on a 3.5 acre peninsula overlooking the lake & Adirondack mountains of NY. They also have a renovated historic barn right next to the Inn, which is where the wedding was held. This place is seriously a hidden gem!! Such amazing views, open space, beautiful barn, and great people. There was room for lawn games, an incredible sunset view, and spacious dancing outside under the stars. Literally…PERFECT!
I cannot say enough about how laid-back, fun, relaxed, and kind every member of these two families were as well as their guests. The whole night was full of laughter, jokes, tons of dancing, and genuine love. Once the reception came to an end, the bride & groom (knowing that family and friends would want to continue the party) organized a party school-bus to take everyone from Grand Isle to downtown Burlington.
My heart was filled to the brim after spending the day with this couple and their family & friends. Vermonters are seriously the best! ;) Thank you, Hannah & Brian, for having us there to capture and spend your day with you. We love you!
