This has been one of my favorite engagement shoots this year! Kendra and Jon were a little weary of the camera and in our initial meeting they warned me that they weren’t going to be “good at this at all”…Um, hello?! Take a look at these completely adorable photos of the two of them and you wouldn’t even know! Once we got going and they realized how relaxed and easy going myself and assistant Mel were in nature – they totally lightened up and had so much fun with it. We were able to capture a lot of really sweet, natural moments between the two of them – and you can tell how much they completely adore each other (look at the way Jon is constantly admiring Kendra!! Aw :) ).
So, here’s the deal with these two, and why I’m so excited for March of 2017: Kendra is from Georgia and Jon is a good ‘ol Rhode Island boy, born & bred. She came to Brown University to study Opthalmology (diseases of the eye) and the two of them met right here in Providence – hence why they wanted to get their engagement photos done here. Just this past June, Kendra packed Jon and his RI attitude (you Rhode Islanders totally know what I mean) and they set off for a new adventure living in Nashville, Tennessee where Kendra landed a pretty sweet job. However – they’re planning their wedding in Georgia. Originally, they were going to find someone closer to GA to photograph the wedding, but after the awesome time we had and the fact their vision of the shoot was matched in outcome – I think we all knew that Mel and I HAD to get ourselves to GA.
Two HUGE families, lots of friends, a wedding party of over 30 people, (I’m told) pretty much the whole town in attendance….a good ‘ol southern wedding. We are SO excited to be shooting and sharing memories of this beautiful couples wedding!
